She endured b*llying because of her ginger hair; later, she silenced everyone by winning Miss England 2022

Miss England 2022 is an aerospace engineering student who endured years of ridicule for her appearance.

The beauty queen’s triumph is a watershed event for the pageant, as she becomes the first redhead to win the Miss England title in its 94-year history.

Jessica Gage, 26, will now represent England in the Miss World competition next year. She won the famous pageant in Birmingham, UK, beating out 30 other participants.

However, not everyone admired the stunning redhead for her appearance. The Daily Mail reported that Gagen endured merciless torment throughout her youth due to her ginger hair.

The publication detailed the assaults, spats, and burns Gagen endured in secondary school, along with harassment and forced lunch in the restrooms.

Only after graduating from school and signing with a modeling agency did Gagen’s confidence begin to recover. She left her hometown of Skelmersdale, Lancashire, at the age of 18 to travel the world as a model, walking catwalks all over the world.

Last year, she finished second in the Miss England beauty pageant, losing to Rehema Muthamia. She’s finally silenced her naysayers by winning the glitzy grand final of the 2022 competition.

Along with modeling, Gagen is pursuing an integrated master’s degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Liverpool.

She has also raised more than $6,700 for local charities by running 5Ks in various fancy dress costumes every day, earning her the nickname ‘Fancy-Dress Jess’.

For her Miss England campaign, she created a program to encourage more girls to study STEM disciplines, with the hope of inspiring women to achieve their aspirations.

This year’s Miss England runners-up had equally fascinating resumes. Emily Cossey, a 24-year-old chess champion from London, finished second. Meanwhile, Milly Everatt, a 22-year-old HGV delivery driver from Lincolnshire, took third place in the pageant.
