When you’re active, sweat forms on your skin, and this happens especially quickly in closed shoes. Sweat is an excellent breeding ground for bacteria, and without regular cleaning, it leads to unpleasant odors.
Such a smell can develop very quickly in sports shoes, and removing it isn’t easy—washing and drying aren’t always enough.
To solve this problem, I use bar soap.
You’ll need two bars of soap. Each time I come home, I place a bar of soap in each sneaker and leave it there until my next walk. When you do this, you’ll soon notice that the odor disappears completely.
I like this method because it’s effective and also because I don’t have to wash my shoes as often, since frequent washing can damage both their appearance and durability.
I’ve read that using tea bags can also help eliminate unpleasant odors in shoes. However, my experiment showed that this method didn’t work, and I went back to the proven soap method.
