Photo of these girls’ goes viral, especially in the USA, and the reason is surprising…

As women openly show their intrinsic beauty in all shapes and sizes on social media, the standard of beauty is shifting. The International Journal of Fashion Design, Technology, and Education has published a new study that underscores this trend. It demonstrates that the average American woman used to wear a size 14, but now usually wears a size 16 or 18.

The study, which looked at data from over 5,500 American women, showed that during the preceding 20 years, the average waist size had increased from 34.9 to 37.5 inches. Susan Dunn, the study’s lead expert, emphasizes the relevance of the data, adding, “Knowing the average size can significantly impact women’s self-image.”

Co-authors Deborah Christel and Dunn encourage the fashion industry to adapt to these changes. Dunn says, “These women are here to stay and deserve clothing that fits them.”

The message is clear: to accurately depict the true shape and size of the modern American woman, clothing manufacturers must change their sizing criteria.
