My neighbor was heating wet napkins in the microwave. When I found out what the reason was, I also started doing it

If someone had told me about this method earlier, I would have also thought, “What kind of weirdness is this?” Why would anyone “heat” wet wipes in the microwave? However, it’s all so simple and logical that I’m sure many of you will want to try it yourselves—or at least out of curiosity or for the sake of experimenting.

In this instance, we use wet wipes beyond their intended purpose. I even buy several large packs specifically for household tasks, such as cleaning.

Did you know that you can clean a lot with wet wipes?

For example, you can clean the microwave from old grease, dried food remains, and other dirt that usually accumulates. When I had guests recently, I cleaned my microwave this way. They were amazed and even laughed! But then they noted my method themselves.

Here’s how to clean the microwave with wet wipes:

You will need 5-7 wipes from a large pack. If you have a small pack, take 10–12 wipes (or you can use the entire pack).

IMPORTANT! The wipes must be wet. If the pack has been open for a long time and the wipes have dried out, this method won’t work. Place the wipes in the microwave, and turn it on for 2 minutes. During this time, the moisture in the wipes will turn into steam and soften all the old stains.

After turning off the microwave, wait a couple of minutes before opening the door. Then, using these wipes, carefully wipe the inside. We recommend wearing gloves to prevent burns from the hot wipes.

All the dirt will come off easily, literally with the first touch.

Afterward, wipe the microwave with a dry cloth dampened with clean water and let it dry.

That’s it! The microwave is now clean, and the unpleasant smell disappears.

By the way, if the microwave is filthy and didn’t get clean the first time, repeat the process. There’s no harm in spending another 2 minutes on heating and 1 minute on cleaning.
