Answer: Motorcycle tires’ small spikes (vent spews) are a byproduct of tire production. However, these little spikes do not influence the tire’s performance. These fibers are appropriately referred to as “vent spews.”
Tire molds are frequently built with several microscopic vents to allow air bubbles to escape, preventing them from developing inside the tire. When this happens, the air bubbles and some of the melted rubber escape via these vents. We attribute this to the emergence of vent spews.
