A newborn elephant who had been separated from his family screams in delight when he sees them again after chasing a rescue crew.
A state forest rescue squad in Tamil Nadu restored it to its family after it went missing in southern India’s Mudumalai National Park.
Four rangers are seen walking in front of the young elephant, which is just a few months old, as it is led to safety down a grassy road.
The elephant is seen closely following one of its aides, dressed in khaki camouflage, while another team member helps the calf from behind.
The second online video shows the calf traveling down a small road before switching to a larger one.
The calf stopped, looked up, and then let out a joyful scream as if it had found its family again.
The young elephant then approached its mother, who appeared to be delighted and waiting behind the camera.
