Pui was taking a solitary stroll across Bangkok, barking at passersby and sniffing through streetside garbage, when he came across a curious box. The four-legged hero, recognizing the stuffed plastic bag as an object of interest, tenderly clasped the sack’s handles in his teeth and carried it from the garbage to his family.

Continue reading to find out more about Pui’s stunning revelation! Pui, a two-year-old male Thai Bangkaew, was wandering the streets of his town in Bangkok in 2013, sniffing through roadside litter. The cute little ginger dog discovered a white plastic bag containing something that appeared to be moving.

Pui gently collected the bag from the dump and brought it by its handles back to his master, Gumnerd Thongmak. When he got home, he put the bag on the terrace and barked loudly to gain his owner’s attention. Thongmak’s 12-year-old niece Sudarat was the first to respond to Pui’s urgent cries, according to the Bangkok Post. Sudarat happily opened the box he offered as he joined the pup on the balcony.

She shouted for her mother when she realized what was inside.A newborn infant with her umbilical cord still attached was inside the plastic bag. Sudarat’s parents hurried her to the hospital, where physicians concluded she was born prematurely – at roughly seven months – weighing only 4 pounds and eight ounces.

At the hospital, the baby was given oxygen and other therapies and survived the horrible ordeal.”It’s a good thing Pui found the baby.” “It surprised us because little Pui never brought anything home, only barking at strangers when he’s out and about,” said Sudarat’s mother, Pummarat, who indicated interest in adopting the child. “Must be destiny that brought us together.”

Pui received a leather collar and a medal from the local Red Cross Chapter after being dubbed a hero for saving the girl’s life. The Thongmaks were also given $300 to assist in feeding their dog, as well as three other dogs who lived at the residence. There are currently no updates on who adopted the infant, nor do we know who her mother is.
