Taylor Swift is very sad about the death of one of her friends. Now she has to make a tough choice about her future shows:While they are on tour in Brazil, the country is going through a dangerous heat wave. So, on the first night of her Eras Tour, there were people set up to hand out water to people in the crowd to try to keep everyone safe.
In fact, Swift was caught throwing water into the crowd during a few of her songs when she saw someone in trouble or calling out for help while she was singing. Associated Press says that it’s so hot in Brazil that temperatures hit almost 60 degrees Celsius, which is 137 degrees Fahrenheit. Videos from Brazil Night 1 also showed how hot Taylor got while putting on the almost 4-hour show.
Now Taylor and her fans are sad because one of her own has died. According to a statement the singer made, one of her fans in Brazil died of heat stroke not long before her show began. The news that we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show broke my heart. I can’t believe I’m writing these words. Swift began, “I can’t even tell you how sad this makes me.”
“The only thing I know about her is that she was quite stunningly beautiful and way too young.” “I can’t talk about this on stage because it makes me too sad to even think about it,” Swift said.
The AP reports that Justice Minister Flávio Dino said on Twitter that the ministry will make “emergency rules” about getting water at concerts and other public events.
According to the AP, temperatures this high don’t happen very often because it’s still spring there and not summer yet. The rise in world temperatures is something that hydrologist Javier Tomasella says, “We have never seen anything like it.”
