For the most part, how a parent chooses to raise their child is their business, not anybody else’s. However, this does not stop individuals from posting and condemning online if a controversy over a parental issue arises.
Chores were always considered a necessary part of life when I was younger. Of course, I’m talking about myself and my siblings, not just my mother.
Doing dishes, making beds, assisting with meal preparation—the list is endless.
I recognize that times change, but encouraging youngsters to help out around the house, as long as there is no risk involved, is a terrific way to impart values and a work ethic that will come in handy later in life.
However, it appears that not everyone agrees. According to accounts, one mother discovered this the hard way a few years ago after uploading images of her kid and sharing her method of assigning duties to him over the internet.
The mother in issue, Nikkole Paulun, 22, allegedly described how she proudly put her 7-year-old son, Lyle, to work around the house, where he assisted with tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
Nothing out of the ordinary; I’m sure we can all agree, but it didn’t stop internet haters from viciously abusing her and expressing concern about the child’s mental well-being.

The majority of the criticism focused on the mother’s sharing of her son’s tasks online, which not only raised concerns among other parents but also raised the possibility that the youngster would not want his everyday activities shared with a huge number of strangers online.

One commenter went so far as to say that Nikkole couldn’t just let her child “be your slave” or do activities that you do not wish to do.”
Another user wrote: “So I take it you can do everything you’re teaching your son to do, or are you just putting pressure on your child?”
A third person said, “Don’t get me wrong… A youngster should understand responsibility… but should not use a stove at that age.”
“Lazy mothers are sweeping the country,” wrote a fourth. It’s important to train kids when they’re young, but I’ve seen that many single mothers are just raising their sons to be the men they wish they had always had.”
Many people backed Nikkole in the comments, and her post went viral after receiving over 8,000 comments and 156,000 interactions on Facebook.
Nikkole stated that she likes housekeeping and that her son Lyle “merely assists along the way and earns allowance as well.”
Furthermore, she stated that her one-year-old daughter, Ellie, would be following in the footsteps of her elder brothers and doing the same thing when she was a little older.
