A group of 200 “intruders” crashed a family’s backyard party on a tranquil evening.
Lincoln, California, is home to the Russos.
Sheep are utilized in this city to clear vegetation that may start fires.
For the Russos, these wild neighbors stopped by to say hello despite not being invited.
The journey started simply.
Russo opened their fence to let their girls see the sheep graze.
Erin Russo told Bored Panda, “Once a year, they graze for two or three days to clear the overgrowth.”
She had never heard them enter a yard.
They quickly learned that these sheep had minds of their own!
“The curious sheep peered in our back gate for a while but ran away when they saw us. One arrived, then a dozen, then hundreds, Erin recalled.
They were surprised when these unwelcome guests filled their yard.
Dad Entertainer Scott Russo filmed the entire sheep invasion.
He shouted and made sheep noises to encourage them to go.
But these sheep were stubborn.
Despite Erin’s disinterest, Scott’s witty narrative made the scenario funny.
While Scott appeared “entertained” by the situation, Erin felt “nervous.”
Erin hurriedly brought their girls inside while Scott played shepherd.
The 4- and 5-year-old children laughed, “Daddy, let the leader in!”
Erin hopped on the trampoline and swung a tambourine to scare the sheep.
She hoped the big noise would work. And she was correct!
After Scott led and Erin yelled, the sheep left.
“It all happened so fast,” Scott told Bored Panda.
“It went from funny to freakout quickly, but looking back, I was calm.”
The sheep left without damaging the fence, but there was a moment of terror.
Lucky for me, the sheep herd was only there for a few minutes.
The family should remember that they don’t enjoy the sound of a shaking tambourine.
Or just close the gate!
